LIGHT SOURCE APPARATUS AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source apparatus in which decrease of uniformity due to discontinuity of a reflecting mirror face can be prevented.

SOLUTION: The light source device 100 is provided with a reflecting plate 3 to reflect light from the light source 1. The reflecting plate 3 is composed of a flat face part 4 having a plane face positioned directly below the light source 1 and a curved face part 5 having a curved face which is extended from the flat face part 4, and a width of the flat face part 4 is smaller than the diameter of the light source 1. With this structure, the decrease of luminance caused in a boundary area between the flat face part 4 and the curved face part 5 of the reflecting mirror 3 can be recovered by the luminance of the light source 1 and the uniformity of the light source device 100 can be increased.
