<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double layer capacitor comprising a recessed container and a sealing plate in which yield is improved and a reduction in sealing properties due to sealing deterioration is suppressed by reducing the horizontal displacement between the sealing plate and the recessed container during sealing, in contrast to electric double layer capacitors manufactured with conventional technology, in which the horizontal displacement between the sealing plate and the recessed container likely takes place during sealing since the sealing plate is provided on the recessed container, thus resulting in a reduced yield, reduced sealing properties, and an increased internal resistance caused thereby. <P>SOLUTION: The electric double layer capacitor comprises electrodes, charge collectors, an electrolyte, a separator, a recessed container for accommodating them, and a sealing plate for sealing an opening part of the recessed container, wherein the sealing plate is fitted inside the container. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
