<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide computer system protection for protection against harmful data from an external computer network. <P>SOLUTION: When data are inputted to a computer system, a software checker transmits any suspect data to an encryptor encrypting them to render them unusable and harmless. The encrypted data are moved to a computer, which has a desktop quarantine area or a sandbox for suspect data, in an internal network. The computer runs main desktop applications receiving the encrypted data for storage and transfer, but not for use in any meaningful way because the data are encrypted.
