<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine misfire detection device capable of detecting misfire accurately even while an engine is in a no-load condition such as idling time. <P>SOLUTION: This engine misfire detection device is provided with a rotational speed detection means 10 for detecting rotational speed of a crank shaft at a predetermined period, a misfire parameter calculating means for calculating misfire parameters from rotational speed of the crank shaft, and a misfire determining means for determining misfire of the engine based on the misfire parameters. The misfire parameter calculating means obtains the misfire parameter P<SB>0</SB>at a time t<SB>0</SB>by using rotational speed R_<SB>A</SB>of the crank shaft detected before A times from the time t<SB>0</SB>and rotational speed R<SB>B</SB>of the crank shaft detected after B times from the time t<SB>0</SB>when A and B are different natural numbers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
