<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a biosensor chip, to enhance the reliability of a measuring instrument and to extend product life, in a biosensor system which discriminates the insertion of the biosensor chip and measures biological information on biological material supplied to the biosensor chip, and the measuring instrument. <P>SOLUTION: For an electrode part provided to an insertion part 5 of the measuring instrument 1, an earthed electrode 12 is used by both of a sensor insertion discrimination circuit 14 and a blood sugar level measuring circuit 15. Further, the first sensor electrode 21 on the side of the biosensor chip 20 is used in common by the sensor insertion discrimination circuit 14 and the blood sugar level measuring circuit 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
