CATALYST FOR PURIFICATION OF EXHAUST GAS AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for purification of exhaust gas which has less deterioration in the catalytic performance even after a prolonged use at high temperatures.

SOLUTION: The catalyst for purification of an exhaust gas has (1) a catalyst component 1 which comprises noble metal particles 2, a promoter ingredient 3 in contact with the particles 2 and an inclusion material 4 including the particles 2 and the promoter ingredient 3 and (2) a fibrous inorganic oxide 5 dividing the included grains of the catalyst component 1.
