PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently appreciate a produced still picture movie using a plurality of still pictures that are different in aspect ratio. SOLUTION: The image processor comprises a means for reproducing still picture data recorded on a recording medium, a means for designating the aspect ratio of the produced still picture movie data, a means for converting the aspect ratio of the still picture data reproduced by the reproducing means, according to the aspect ratio designated by the designating means, a means for generating moving picture data converted by the converting means to output as still picture movie data, and a means for recording the still picture movie data generated by the generating means on the recording medium. The aspect ratio at reproducing is designated, to convert still pictures stored on the recording medium to still pictures of the designated aspect ratio, thereby generating still picture movie data at the designated aspect ratio.
