PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical setting device which can perform initial setting intuitively and easily. SOLUTION: An electric pot 110 and a video camera 130 incorporating the interface of wireless LAN are connected as an information household appliance with a wireless LAN station 120 through wireless LAN. The information household appliances 110 and 130 are also provided with light sources 114, 134 and light receiving elements 112, 132, so that they can also be connected with an optical setting device 200. The wireless LAN station 120 is also provided with a light source 124 and a light receiving element 122 so that it can be connected with the optical setting device 200. At first, ESS-ID, a WEP key, and the like, are transmitted from the wireless LAN station 120 to the optical setting device 200, and the initial setting information of wireless LAN is stored.
