PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the lens barrel or the flash from impeding gate operation when an imaging apparatus is used as a game device, and to protect them against neighboring things such as a desk during gate operation. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus (digital camera) has a photography function as a camera, and the function as a game device. If the sinking lens barrel has been fed out or a movable flash is projecting (pop-up) when a game is started, the body tube is sunk forcibly or the flash is contained (pop-down).
