ANTI-CHAFING COMPOSITION COMPRISING BORON NITRIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-chafing composition for topical application and to provide a method for treating and/or preventing chafing of skin by applying the composition comprising boron nitride to a surface to be in contact with the skin or the skin itself. SOLUTION: The anti-chafing composition having improved efficiency in one embodiment comprises an effective amount of the boron nitride suspended in a dermatologically acceptable carrier vehicle. In another embodiment, the anti-chafing composition in the form of powder or a stick comprises the boron nitride. The method for topically applying the effective amount of the anti-chafing composition to the skin or the surface to be in contact with the skin and thereby inhibiting or reducing the chafing to the skin is provided.
