PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat back for a vehicle, which is capable of simplifying a covering structure of a seat surface corresponding to a recessed shape in a seat back face side. SOLUTION: A back board 40 is sewn with the end part 34A of a front-side seat surface 34 and covered with a back-side seat surface 42. The seat surface is covered with the front-side seat surface 34 and the back-side seat surface 42, and the end 40A of the back board 40 is clamped between a seat back frame 20 and a hem projection part 32C of a seat back pad 32. The intermediate part 40B of the back board 40 is formed with a step toward the hem projection part 32C to form a recess part 15B of the back face part 15 together with the back-side seat surface 42.
