PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network monitoring tool capable of effectively supporting a network administrator. SOLUTION: A monitoring apparatus includes a collecting unit that collects information of a packet forwarding path that is to be dynamically established in a network, a receiving unit that receives a notification indicating that an event has occurred regarding an element of the network, and an analysis unit that analyzes correlations among a plurality of notifications received by the receiving unit, on the basis of the information of the packet forwarding path collected by the collecting unit, wherein a plurality of events caused by the same factor can be related, while including an event that may occur on a logical path, such as a label switch path that changes dynamically.
