PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound that has excellent PPARα/γagonist action and desirable properties as a medicine. SOLUTION: The peroxisome proliferator-activated receptorα/γagonist is represented by general formula (I) (Q is a bicyclic aromatic ring or a bicyclic aromatic heterocyclic ring which may be substituted; R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each a phenyl group or a 5 to 6-membered aromatic heterocyclic group which may be substituted; X, Y and Z are each independently C, O, S or N; R<SP>3</SP>-R<SP>9</SP>are each a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group or the like; n is an integer of 0-3).
