PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent nonuniform plating from occurring by loading or unloading a workpiece into or to the outside of an immersion tank quickly without allowing the workpiece to rub thereon without changing the carrying attitude of the workpiece in a workpiece carrying device in the immersion tank. SOLUTION: This immersion processing device comprises a low carrying mechanism 35 disposed in the immersion tank 5 and carrying the workpiece W in a processing liquid, a higher carrying mechanism 56 disposed at the position higher than the lower carrying mechanism 35 on the outside of the immersion tank 5, extending near the immersion tank 5 or to the upper side of the immersion tank, and carrying the workpiece W, and a liftable transfer mechanism 72 receiving the workpiece W from one of the lower carrying mechanism 35 and the higher carrying mechanism 56 by the generally horizontal movement, lowering or rising, and transferring the work to the other carrying mechanism by the generally horizontal movement.
