PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die for edging presses with which the generation of edge flaws is prevented while preventing the slip of a slab as the die for edging presses which is used when performing the edging press of the slab on a hot rolling line. SOLUTION: The right and left side walls 15b, 15c of a linear grooves 15 which are provided on the pressing surface (an inclined part 12, a parallel part 13) of the die 11 have a relief angleθof 60-85°in the direction of conveying the slab.
