PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust separating device, enabling collected dust to be easily discharged, and a vacuum cleaner provided with the same. SOLUTION: The dust separating device includes a dust container having a dust catching part inside, a dust separating part contained in the dust container, and a cover member coupled to the dust separating part to selectively open/close the dust collecting part, which is separable with the dust separating part from the dust container when dust is discharged.
