<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron golf club head allowing prevention of deformation of a head body, and improvement of flying distance by optimally utilizing deflection of a face part. <P>SOLUTION: The iron golf club head has a hollow part inside formed by the face part constituting a ball hitting face, a back part opposite to the face part, and a circumferential part of the head body formed between the back part and the face part. An opening part is provided on the back part so as to communicate with the hollow part. A deformation prevention part is continuously formed along a peripheral part of the opening part. A circumferential thin-walled part of a thin wall thickness is provided in the circumferential part on the border of the face part so as to extend a deflection area of the face part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
