PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lever type connector whose real connection fitting can be certainly and easily checked by preparing a mechanism capable of directly checking the real connection fitting of the lever type connector itself, and for which a large amount of capital investment is unnecessary. SOLUTION: The lever type connector 10 comprises: an inner housing 14 containing terminals; an electrical connector frame 11 in which the inner housing 14 is inserted; a lever 12 rotatably attached to the electrical connector frame 11, which makes the inner housing 14 fit in a mating connector housing via the electrical connector frame 11 with the rotation of the lever 12; and a holder 13 detachably attached to the electrical connector frame 11, which holds the lever 12 not-rotatably by selecting the attaching position on the electrical connector frame 11, and which is capable of detecting the position of the electrical connector frame 11 to which the inner housing 14 is inserted.
