PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device that records information about a main subject when an image is picked up. SOLUTION: A crime prevention system includes: an abnormality sensing part for sensing that the cause of an abnormality occurs within a monitored area; a notified party storage part for initially storing a plurality of notified parties that are notified of the cause of an abnormality occurring in the monitored area; a brightness determining part for determining the brightness of the monitored area when the abnormality sensing part senses that the cause of an abnormality has occurred in the monitored area; and an abnormality notification part for selecting, from the plurality of notified parties stored in the notified party storage part, the notified party that matches the brightness determined by the brightness determining part, and for notifying the selected notified party that the cause of the abnormality has occurred.
