PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing detecting device for easily and properly setting the positional relation with an object to be detected in installation, and to improve the convenience in installation. SOLUTION: The opening and closing detecting device provided on one of a first structure and a second structure which relatively open and close, and having a detecting means for detecting the object to be detected provided on the other one, includes a body having the detecting means and a front-open box-like housing case for housing the body.
