PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound having a potent degranulation-controlling activity and useful as a treating agent of type I allergic response, a method for producing the same and an anti-allergic agent by utilizing the degranulation-controlling activity of the new compound. SOLUTION: This chavicol analog compound expressed by structural formula (1) [wherein, R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>are each an acyloxy or an alkoxycarbonyloxy; R<SP>3</SP>is H, an alkyl, an acyloxy or an alkoxycarbonyloxy; and (n) is 0 or 1]. The method for producing the same by using an organometallic reaction, acylation, alkoxycarbonylation, reduction, etc., and the anti-allergic agent containing the compound are also provided.
