PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform vacuum packaging without forming a shrink crease at the cut end of a tube film. SOLUTION: A suction force 85 of a vacuum pump preferentially acting on an isolating chamber 64 for an article to be packaged first acts on the tube film 10 around the article 15 to be packaged, and successively acts on the tube film 10 through a venting hole 70 of a partition wall 62 and a gap 60 of the counter face of the partition wall. In this case, the vacuum suction force acts more preferentially on the isolating chamber 64 than in the tube film 10. In addition, there exists the air resistance of a seal bar 65 in a narrow passage in the isolating chamber 64 to accelerate the expansion of the tube film 10 in the isolating chamber 64 laid with the article to be packaged, and therefore, the evacuation of air in the tube film 10 can be highly efficiently accelerated.
