PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple side structure of a car body capable of transmitting a load applied to an impact beam to a pillar. SOLUTION: The impact beam 116 is fitted to a door inner 110 by an impact beam extension 118. A part of the impact beam extension 118 obliquely extended from an impact beam fixing part 126 to the door inner 110 works as a load transmitting part 128 for transmitting a load from the impact beam 116 to the door inner 110, and shaped so that the extension line is directed to the figure center C2 of a body pillar 106. With this simple structure, a load from the impact beam 116 at the time of a collision can be straightly transmitted to the figure center C2 of the body pillar 106, while restricting the torsion moment of the body pillar 106.
