<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method which manufactures an optical disk having a plurality of information layers based on different standards formed thereon and which minimizes raising of costs for manufacturing. <P>SOLUTION: A step (a) forms a recording layer 23 on one surface of a first substrate 21 and forms a recording layer 20 on the other surface. A step (b) laminates a reflection film 24 on the recording layer 23, and a step (c) forms a light transmission layer 25 on the reflection film 24. A step (d) laminates a reflection film 22 on the recording layer 20. A step (e) forms a recording layer 40 on a substrate 41, and a step (f) laminates a reflection film 42. A step (g) makes the second reflection film 22 and the reflection film 22 face each other and laminates them with an adhering layer 26 therebetween. A first series of steps of performing the steps of (a) to (d) in order of a, b, c and d, and a second series of steps of performing the steps of (e) and (f) in order of e and f are performed simultaneously or in an optional order.
