<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detector having a scintillator layer rich in moisture resistance. <P>SOLUTION: This radiation detector has a substrate 16, a photoelectric transfer element 17 formed on the substrate, and the scintillator layer 14 formed on the photoelectric transfer element. The scintillator layer has a deactivator in a base material, and a concentration of the deactivator along a face direction of the scintillator layer is higher in a peripheral part than in the central part.
