<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of enhancing the performance of an adaptive array antenna for the whole base station apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: An array antenna configuration section 22 sequentially configures one array antenna by combining at least two antenna elements 42. Every time an array antenna is configured, an array antenna communication performance measurement section 26 measures the communication performance of the array antenna and calculates an array antenna communication performance value showing the communication performance of each array antenna on the basis of each measurement result. An array antenna switching section 24 selects an array antenna whose array antenna communication performance value satisfies a prescribed performance condition on the basis of part or all array antenna communication performance values, and the array antenna is used for communication with at least one mobile station apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
