<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer material useful for producing a substrate for liquid crystal cell with optical anisotropic layer having optical compensatability within the liquid crystal cell, a substrate for the liquid crystal cell having the optical anisotropic layer, and to provide a simple method for manufacturing the substrate for the liquid crystal cell. <P>SOLUTION: The transfer material includes the optical anisotropic layer comprising a liquid crystal composition, containing a compound expressed by general Formula (I), and a photosensitive resin layer.
