PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality liquid-ejecting head which improves the jointing precision and dimensional precision without causing brittleness and heat shrinkage during heat treatment. SOLUTION: When a nozzle plate 2 is formed by a Ni-electroforming (electrocasting) method, thallium is added to the Ni-electroforming bath to form a metal material containing nickel and thallium, and the brittleness and the heat shrinkage in the liquid ejecting head, are reduced by making a peak intensity for a (200) face of nickel higher than the peak intensity for a (111) face of nickel as measured by means of X-ray diffraction analysis.
