PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system capable of collecting information by using an autonomous moving apparatus. SOLUTION: The information providing system includes a plurality of autonomous moving apparatuses 10A to 10E that autonomously move and an information providing center 50 for providing an information requester with information acquired by the autonomous moving apparatuses. The information providing center is provided with a communication means for communicating with the plurality of autonomous moving apparatuses, transmits a request reference signal for specifying request information requested from the information requester to the plurality of autonomous moving apparatuses by using the communication means, and each of the autonomous moving apparatuses is provided with a surrounding information acquiring means for acquiring surrounding information, a communication means for communicating with the information providing center, and a request information transmission processing means for transmitting to the information providing center the request information that is information acquired by the surrounding information acquiring means and is specified by the request reference signal by using the communication means in the case of receiving the request reference signal from the information providing center.
