PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and inexpensively provide a paper storage device without a risk of slipping out a paper loading plate, by easily installing the paper loading plate more than ever before. SOLUTION: First of all, support parts 44a and 44b are deflected outside so that the support parts 44a and 44b of the paper loading plate 28 are positioned in a narrow part 46, and are engaged with locking bosses 35a and 35b (Fig. 6(a)). Then, when weakening force applied to the support parts 44a and 44b, the paper loading plate 28 returns from deflection, and the support parts 44a and 44b respectively move inside from the narrow part 36 (Fig. 6(b)). Finally, arm parts 43a and 43b of a drawer part 40 are always interposed between an inside surface of a cassette base 25 and the support parts 44a and 44b regardless of an expansion state of the drawer part 40 (Fig. 6(c)). Thus, since the support parts 44a and 44b are regulated in the movement in the axial direction (the illustrated lateral direction), the support parts do not move again to a position of the narrow part 36.
