The method involves representating map information (Ka) in a bird`s eye view. Additional information (Wa) is represented over the map information, where the additional information comprises weather information and lighting condition information. The lighting condition information is used for controlling brightness or contrast of a displaying device, where the lighting condition information is determined by using a sensor such as rain sensor and/or a brightness sensor. An independent claim is also included for a navigation system comprising an indicator plant.
