The device has a sensor actuator module (SAM) (1) arranged in an inner space of a transport. The SAM is provided with safety devices and circuit-breakers for controlling/protecting a consumer in the transport. Decentralized SAMs (5, 6) are provided with other safety devices and circuit-breakers for controlling/protecting another consumer in the transport. The SAM and the decentralized SAMs are cross-linked over a data bus e.g. controller area network (CAN) data bus. The decentralized SAMs are arranged in an engine compartment, in an interior or within a chassis e.g. door.
