<p>[PROBLEMS] A bearing device for a driven wheel, which is reduced in weight and size and where the rigidity and strength of a knuckle are increased. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] In the bearing device for a driven wheel of inner ring rotation type, a circular plate-like bottom section (11a) is integrally formed with the knuckle (11), an outer member (10) is joined to the knuckle (11) by bolts with the knuckle (11) and the vehicle body installation flange (10b) abutted against each other, the end on the inner side of an inner member (1) is closed by the knuckle (11), a drain hole (12) is formed at the joint between the outer member (10) and the knuckle (11) such that the drain hole is oriented downward toward the road surface, and a closed space (13) and the outside are communicated with each other by the drain hole. A pilot section to be fitted to the knuckle (11) is not required on the outer periphery of the outer member (10), so that the device can be reduced in weight and size and the rigidity and strength of the knuckle (11) are increased. Further, even if a foreign matter enters from the joint, it can be easily discharged.</p> |
