A panel 7 such as a facade panel is secured to the floor 1 of a structure by means of two rails 10 attached to respective opposite edges (top and bottom) of the panel 7, each of the rails being attached to the floor 1 by a screw threaded shaft which is adjustable, by screwing in a nut mounting 14 so as to adjust the distance of the rail from the floor 1 and the rail and screw-mounting combination is secured to the floor by a bolt 17 which passes through the two shafts of the mountings 14. Each rail 10 has a U-shaped portion 10c embraced by a clip 13 supported by the shaft of the screw mounting 14. The free end of the flange 10c is extended outwardly perpendicularly to the web of the rail and is folded back on itself to form the projection 9 which mates with a recess in the lower end of the facade panel 3. The other flange of the rail 10 forms an inverted U-section 10b. A sheet metal covering 12 hooks over the projection 9 and has a turned up edge portion 12a which engages with a turned down portion of the upper edge of the panel 7 while the bottom edge of the panel 7 is turned up to engage the end of a sheet metal member 21 to clamp this latter against a hook 18 supported from lower rail on the upper side of the floor 1. The upper edge of the panel 3 is engaged between the upper rail 10 (on the under side of the floor 1) similar to the lower rail, and elbow hooks 24. The member 21 forms a space for the mounting of a spring blind 22. |
