[Also in Division G2] A collapsible stand for a projection screen has a vertical post 10, the base portion of which forms one leg of a tripod support and telescopically receives an adjustable rod 11, two other legs 17, 18 being pivoted to a fixed collar 12 on the post and attached through pivoting brace arms 19, 20 to a second collar slidably mounted on the post below the first. The screen is mounted on arcuate rods (46), Fig. 6 (not shown), slidable in brackets (34, 35) to permit angular adjustment of the screen. The brackets are carried by a frame pivotally secured to rod (11) and braced by diagonal struts from the rod. These struts may be released to permit rotation of the frame to a storage position. To give a low centre of gravity, steel arms 19, 20 are used, with aluminium construction elsewhere. |
