An organic metal complex for an organic light emitting layer is provided to form an organic light emitting diode having a high efficiency and an excellent lifespan. An organic metal complex for an organic light emitting layer has a structure represented by the following formula 1, wherein R1-R12 each is hydrogen, amino, C1-10 alkyl, C1-10 alkenyl, C1-10 alkynyl, or C1-10 alkoxy, L is the formula (1a) or the formula (1b), R21-R26 each is hydrogen, amino, a substituted or unsubstituted C6-20 aryl group, or a C4-19 heteroaryl group containing N, S, or O, with the proviso that at least one of the R21-R26 is a substituted or unsubstituted C6-20 aryl group or a C4-19 heteroaryl group containing N, S, or O, and the substituent is any one selected from the group consisting of C1-10 alkyl, C1-10 alkoxy, cyano, C1-10 alkylamino, C1-10 alkylsilyl, halogen, C6-10 aryl, C6-10 aryloxy, C6-10 arylamino, and C6-10 arylsilyl.
