An address change service method using the SMS(Short Message Service) and a system thereof are provided to save a user, who has moved to another address, the trouble of repeating an identical personal authentication procedure by updating various associated service providers' customer information databases at a time by performing a personal authentication procedure once, when the user makes an address change request by using an SMS. If a mobile terminal creates an address change request SMS including a changed address and transmits it to an address management center, the address management center receives it through an SMSC(SMS Center)(210), and then transmits an authentication SMS containing a URL(Uniform Resource Locator) so that the mobile terminal can access the address management center for personal authentication(S220). If the mobile terminal, receiving the authentication SMS, accesses the address management center, the address management center requests the mobile terminal to input personal information including a password or the user's resident registration number. If personal information is inputted, the address management center judges whether the inputted personal information is matched with previously stored personal information(S230). If so, the address management center confirms whether a modification for the changed address is required(S240). If it is confirmed that any modification for the changed address is not necessary, the address management center requests the mobile terminal to select service providers to which the changed address will be applied(S250).
