ERGONOMICALLY DESIGNED POINTING DEVICE WHICH ALSO WORKS AS A FUNCTION BUTTON

An embedded type pointing device combined with an ergonomic function button is provided to completely locate a pointer by enabling a finger operating the pointing device to operate command execution of the function button with up/down movement while staying on the pointing device, and permitting the up/down movement of the finger without moving to left/right movement. An embedded type pointing device performs a function of the function button by permitting and connecting the up/down movement with a click switch. The embedded type pointing device uses a touch pad, a pointing stick, a trackball, or an optical device of an optical mouse as the pointing device. A user operates the function of the function button and a pointing function with one hand at the same time by arranging the additional function button to an upper/lower part of the same plane as the pointing device.
