An apparatus for receiving a wideband pulse signal in a communication channel using the human body is provided to lower receive sensitivity to the utmost by separating a signal amplification function from a comparison function through a wideband symmetric technique and to reduce the occupation area by removing the necessity of an external reference voltage. A wideband pulse signal receiver in a communication channel using the human body is composed of a bias circuit(42), a wideband pre-amplifier(44), a Schmitt trigger(46), and a reverse buffer(48). The bias circuit(42) sets a DC bias for a wideband pulse signal, transferred and received through the human body used as a data transfer medium. The wideband pre-amplifier(44) provides a high voltage gain for the DC bias-set wideband pulse signal over a wide frequency band. The Schmitt trigger(46) triggers the pulse signal, amplified through the wideband pre-amplifier(44), to a stable voltage state by using symmetric threshold voltage. The reverse buffer(48) reverses the triggered pulse signal and outputs a digital signal of which the phase is matched with the received input signal.
