An optical pickup device is provided to remove the generation of a DC offset by installing a plate, for adjusting light transmissivity by a characteristic opposite to the light strength of a light emitting element, in a front end of the light emitting element and preventing the light distribution of a light receiving element from being generated although an objective lens is moved within a movement range. A plate(27) for adjusting light transmissivity by a characteristic opposite to the light strength of an LD(Laser Diode)(16) is installed in a front end of the LD(16). The light distribution of a PD(Photo Diode)(25) is not changed in the plate(27) although an objective lens(11) is moved within a movement range. One laser beam is projected on an optical disc(10) through the plate(27).
