An integrated SMS(Short Message Service) system is provided to increase the total operation capacity and throughput by migrating an existing active-standby or dual active SMS center to an SMS center having the same structure to realize an integrated SMS center. An integrated SMS system comprises an STP(Signaling Transfer Point)(130), an SG(Signaling Gateway)(140), and an integrated SMS center(210). The STP(130) receives SMS signals from a mobile communication network(120) and transfers them. The SG(140) relays the SMS signals received from the STP(130). The integrated SMS center(210) includes n numbers of ASPs(Application Server Processes)(152,154,162,164) which receive the SMS signals from the SG(140). The ASPs consists of n-p numbers of active ASPs and p numbers of standby ASPs. In case a fault occurs in one of the active ASPs, the integrated SMS system transfers the standby ASPs to an active state.
