A silencer for a vehicle is provided to improve the performance of an engine by reducing the back pressure of exhaust gas, thereby improving riding comfort. A silencer is adapted to guide exhaust gas discharged from an engine and to reduce a noise. Front and rear partition walls(12a,12b) for forming guide spaces are arranged in the front and rear of the inside of the silencer body, respectively. A discharge pipe(13) passes between the front and rear partition walls and passes through the rear surface of the body. A suction pipe(14) is engaged with the front and rear partition walls and protrudes through the front surface of the body. A guide pipe(15) is engaged with the front and rear partition walls so as to pass through the front and rear partition walls. A punched surface(17) forming a vent hole(16) is spirally formed in the flow direction of the exhaust gas. A metal mesh(18) surrounds the discharge pipe, the guide pipe, and the suction pipe.
