An optical fiber illumination apparatus and an inspection apparatus are provided to solve the problem that observing condition by stopping inspection media is strict and it takes long to collect information or process discriminating. An inspection apparatus that inspects an inspected media having a hologram attached thereto includes a light source unit, the first photodetector(18), the second photodetector(20), and a hologram genuineness determining unit. The light source unit irradiates light on a hologram in a predetermined direction in which diffraction light is obtained from the hologram. The first photodetector(18) receives the diffraction light from the hologram. The second photodetector(20) receives light which is irradiated on the hologram to pass through the inspected media. The hologram genuineness determining unit determines the genuineness of the hologram based on the diffraction light received in the first photodetector(18) and defects of the hologram based on the transmitted light received in the second photodetector(20).
