A power converting apparatus, an electronic apparatus having the same, and a power converting method are provided to stabilize a power converting process by changing a position of a current detector to detect a basic current for converting an input power. A power converting apparatus includes a voltage input unit(31), a power converter(33), a converted current detector(35), a converted voltage detector(38), and a controller(39). The power converter converts the voltage which is inputted at the voltage input unit, to generate a converted output. The converted current detector detects a converted current outputted from the power converter. The converted voltage detector detects a converted voltage outputted from the power converter. The controller multiplies the converted current by the converted voltage and controls the power converter, so that the multiplied result is within a predetermined range around a reference value.
