A device for supplying the channel information corresponded to a traveling area, automatically, of the A/V system for the vehicle, and the method thereof are provided to increase the convenience of a driver without the channel information input operation of the driver. A device for supplying the channel information corresponded to a traveling area, automatically, of the A/V system for a vehicle comprises a memory(110), a GPS control unit(190), and a control unit(100). The memory is installed to keep the channel information as the set value according to the traveling area of the vehicle. The GPS control unit is installed to detect the present position of the vehicle by the signal received from the satellite for a GPS system. The control unit is installed to detect the present traveling area of the vehicle by using the present position of the vehicle and to supply the channel information automatically according to the present traveling area of the vehicle. The method for supplying the channel information corresponded to the traveling area includes the step of detecting the present position of the vehicle by using the signal received from the GPS satellite.
