ERGONOMICALLY DESIGNED POINTING DEVICE WHICH ALSO WORKS AS A FUNCTION BUTTON

An embedded type pointing device combined with an ergonomic function button is provided to completely locate a pointer by enabling a finger operating the pointing device to operate command execution of the function button with up/down movement while staying on the pointing device, and permitting the up/down movement of the finger in a fixed state without left/right movement. A click switch(602) is attached to a lower end of a touch pad(601). The click switch manages the function of the function button by being changed into an on-state from an off-state if the touch pad is pressed, and being changed into the off-state from the on-state if the touch pad is restored to an original state.
