A projection apparatus is provided to realize resolution similar to an original image with a low resolution of image frames, and offer a low-priced projection device. A projection apparatus(100) comprises the following parts: an image frame generating unit(30) which generates an image frame from received image data; a projecting system(50) which expands and projects the image frame transmitted or reflected from the image frame generating unit; a display position control unit(40) which controls the display position of the image frame; and an image processing controller(20) which generates two lower image frame data with 1/4 resolution for the resolution of the received image data, transmits the two lower image frame data to the image frame generating unit, and controls the image frame generating unit to generate lower image frames separately from the two received lower image frame data, and controls the display position control unit to display the two lower image frame at regular intervals each other.
