Support strip for a composite panel

A lightweight panel for e.g. construction of partitions or trade fair stands has a lightweight honeycomb core sandwiched between two outer panels. The end-gap between the two outer panels is closed by a countersunk strip of perforated polymer plastic (5) e.g. polyvinyl chloride under a further decor edge-banding material (7). The edge-banding material is bonded to the perforated strip by hotmelt plastic.
