The present invention provides a method of filling a flexible track 20 to a track apparatus comprising at least one idler wheel 16 and a drive wheel 2 for driving engagement with the track 20 and for retrofitting to a driven axle of a vehicle. The idler wheel 16 has a two part construction with a first plate 16a, an axis of rotation 10c and a second plate 16b supporting a tyre 42. The plates 16a, 16b are securable together by bolts 50. The plates 16a, 16b are positioned using one bolt 50, the remaining bolt apertures being out of register with each other. The flexible track 20 is then filled around the drive wheel 2 and idler wheel 16. Then, the remaining apertures of the plates are brought into register, preferably by pivoting the second plate 16b about the single bolt 50 and rotating the first plate 16a. Bolts are inserted in the remaining apertures. |
