A lithium secondary battery is provided to exhibit improved remaining capacity and recovery capacity after high-temperature storage of the battery, and improved power maintenance rate at high temperature and low temperature when an organic ammonium compound is added to a positive electrode and/or a separator. A lithium secondary battery comprises a positive electrode active material of a lithium transition metal oxide, wherein an organic ammonium compound is added to a positive electrode and/or applied onto a separator. The organic ammonium compound is one selected from compounds represented by the following formula 1 of R1-CO2^(-)(NH4)^(+), or two or more. In the formula, R1 is an optionally substituted alkyl group or an optionally substituted aryl group.
